Rendered is a mixed-media series that explores both the fluidity and rigidity of blackness and black subjectivity in our contemporary culture. The series piece together the stories and lived experiences of people grappling with culture, religion, nationality, sexuality, gender, and class as they navigate a society that forces them to contend with, negotiate, and redefine what it means to be Black in North America.
